Damn Evap Lines!

Posted in 2WW & SS'ing, Hopes with tags , on July 13, 2008 by sweetrelease

Stupid tests, I’ve taken three of these internet cheapies from FertilityPlan on eBay.

The first one at 11 dpo was negative, couldn’t see any line whether I had wanted to or not! Wasn’t with FMU though.

Second at 12 dpo with FMU, negative within the time frame, but a very very feint positive line showed up after 40 mins…grrr! It has a pinky tinge, so didn’t rule anything out.

Third this morning at 13 dpo…well, there was a feint line within the time frame which disappeared as quickly as I’d seen it…now it’s back again another hour or so later. Again, with a pink tinge but a little easier to see than yesterday’s.

So, are these just evap lines, or does the fact that 2/3 have been like this mean something?? GRRR!

Best I can do is wait for another few days I guess! I’ll be really disappointed if it’s negative after these :(

Good luck to anyone else testing!

It’s so hard to refrain from POAS so early!

La Luna

I was recently sifting through info on the ‘net looking for general ovulation info, when I came across this…

Lunar Fertility.

I can honestly say that I had never heard of this before, until now!

This method of charting suggests that every woman has a chance to ovulate twice within her monthly cycle (except for times when the lunar chart overlaps your normal ovulation). Basically, from working out the phase that the moon was in when you were born (for accuracy, a rough birth time is generally needed) you can work out when you have a second chance to conceive during the month. You can work out your moon phase at birth on this site: Life Cycles & Destiny.

Once you’ve got the phase that corresponds to you, each time this phase happens within your cycle, you have a chance to conceive (including AF days!). For example, my moon phase at birth was the last quarter (waning crescent moon), so whenever the moon is in the last quarter within the month, I should have another chance to get pregnant.

If this phase crosses over with your normal ovulation window, then you are meant to be super fertile and have a 99% chance to conceive.

If you look up the Dr Jonas Method, this is something that he has studied for a huge part of his life, and his research has not been disproven! Although his method is also geared for controlling the sex of child you conceive, but I can’t say I’m too interested in that part!

Since our periods are cyclical like the moon, it makes perfect sense that it can also control our chances to create life as it once did for our planet! From what I can gather, you won’t always just release an egg during your moon phase, sometimes it needs to be triggered – you should be able to do this by making love on the correct day of your moon phase to provoke your body into spontaneous ovulation.

I’m not sure how right all of this information is, but it seems my lunar date crossed my ovulation window last month, so I’m waiting to see if anything happens!!

If you want to track yours, enter you birth data into the form of this site and it should give you your personal moon phase dates for a year: The Lunarium

Happy Charting!!

The road so far…

This is my first attempt at charting, mainly so that I can get used to it for when we actually start trying ;)

My temps are a little up and down, due to a rubbish thermometer and different waking times. Still seems to be looking OK though, even so!

After a long talk, DH & I have decided to see how things go once we’re settled in Uruguay.

Neither of us want to leave it too long to have our first child, so DH roughly gave me a TTC date as the end half of next year.

Although since we’re still not using contraception, I hope he realises that it could still happen before then! I’m sure we would cope if it did though, it’s not like we’re in a bad position if it were to. Plus that method always makes me think I might be pregnant every month, lol! Just check out the 2WW category – not the least stressful thing…

Well it’s still a bit further away than I would’ve ideally wanted, but at least I know where I stand now.

Takes a lot off my mind!!
